The company is a progressive and innovative authorized treatment facility. We are licensed by Carlow County council on behalf of the environmental protection agency to process the safe recycling and treatment of end of life vehicles into recyclables including reusable component and parts thereby minimizing the final waste.

Skygreen is granted license and waste permit to process these vehicles on behalf of the general public, the local authority and the Garda (police). It is reasonable to say that end of life vehicles (ELVs) contain hazardous materials. Therefore, they must be recycled with due consideration and in an environmental friendly manner. To achieve these, they must be processed in accordance with the licensing operational requirements and EU directives. These licensing requirements and EU directives, regulations and guidelines are enforced and monitored by both the EPA, local county council, garda and may include the vehicle manufactures or Irish distributors of such vehicles:

It is imperative to point out that the way in which vehicles reaching the end of their useful life process are carried out has changed. About 2 million end of life vehicles (ELVS) are generated each year in the United Kingdom. These are classified “hazardous waste” due to the condition in handling the processes. As a consequence, the European Union set up legislation in order that prior to dismantling, crushing, or shredding, end of Life vehicle must be de-polluted.
